Lone Star Flight Museum Gala

Ward & Ames designed, managed and produced the Lone Star Flight Museum’s inaugural “Taking Flight” gala on Armed Forces day at their new facility at Ellington Airport.  1,000 guests enjoyed dinner in the 30,420 sq. ft.  Waltrip Hangar after cocktails amid aircraft in the Heritage Hangar. The dinner began with a moving Salute to the Joint Armed Forces with all five branches’ Color Guards in attendance. The Clearlake United Methodist Sanctuary Choir performed.  Four new members, General Benjamin Foulois, Al Mooney, the 111th Aero Squadron, and President George W. Bush, were inducted into the Texas Aviation Hall of Fame during the program and were introduced by videos that Ward & Ames produced. This Gala event previewed the museum’s new location and formal opening in the fall of 2017.
