MD Anderson Cancer Center’s 75th Anniversary

As the event designers, managers and producers for MD Anderson Cancer Center’s 75th Anniversary, we created a weeklong experience that saluted the Center’s 19,000 + employees, staff and volunteers with 6 events including the Gala dinner pictured here. We planned this milestone over a 2 year period to properly salute this great institution with a truly archival celebration. The Gala included appearances by Gerald McRaney and Bob Schieffer, performances by The Houston Symphony directed by Richard Kaufman, Yolanda Adams, Ana Maria Martinez, The Tenors, Reba McEntire, Ernest Walker’s Houston Celebration Chorus and Steve Roddy’s Houston Children’s Choir. Special guests Chancellor William McRaven, Secretary James Baker, III, Former President George H. W. Bush and Vice President Joe Biden provided impactful testimonials. Over 2,000 guests filled a 51,128 sq. ft. temporary environment we had constructed on the MD Anderson campus and it was an uplifting and emotional week of branded messaging. We are grateful to MD Anderson’s hierarchy for entrusting us with this unprecedented, challenging week of event planning and were honored to  be on their team again after producing 25 years worth of prime events leading up to this piece de resistance in Making Cancer History.
